To compare a serum with a mask, look at how each is stored, prepared and used, alongside the evaluation data for that particular product. The formulation format determines how a material is stored and how the user brings it into a routine. A comparison of a serum and a mask therefore begins with the structure of each finished product.
CELLshot is tiptop's consumer facial skincare brand. Its dual-chamber AgeCare ExoSerum Pro and freeze-dried AgeCare ExoMask Pro both use ingredients associated with extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from human endometrial stem cells. We incorporate freeze-drying and mixing at the point of use into product development with the storage needs of these ingredients in mind.
The two products give this design different forms. The serum keeps the powder and liquid in separate chambers until the initial mixing step. The mask keeps a freeze-dried biomask separate from three accompanying beauty liquids, which are added before each session to saturate the sheet so it can be unfolded.

Read the quantities in terms of how the product is used
Package quantities need to be read alongside the unit of use. The weight of a serum powder, the volume of its accompanying liquid and the liquids in a mask set describe different things. Lining up these numbers does not establish which product contains more of a particular ingredient or works better.
For ExoSerum Pro, 0.18 g is the weight of the freeze-dried powder, not the net quantity of EV-related ingredients. The 3.5 mL figure describes the accompanying liquid. Together they form the dual-chamber product, which is mixed initially and then used in multiple applications as directed.
For ExoMask Pro, the three 9 mL liquids and one freeze-dried biomask form a single session. The full contents of I, II and III are added in sequence to saturate the sheet for application.
In product development and communication, we need to connect what is in the package with how it is used. That connection gives the quantities practical meaning.
Include preparation and contact time in the comparison
The two products also differ in when preparation takes place and how much time the care session requires.
ExoSerum Pro places the chamber connection and powder-to-liquid mixing at first use. Once mixing is complete and the dropper is attached, the chambers do not need to be connected again for later applications. It can be understood as a serum step used across multiple applications.
ExoMask Pro links preparation to each session: take one set, add the three liquids and allow at least 45 minutes for use. The usual frequency is once a week. For intensive care, use twice a week, with three days between sessions.
Preparation, frequency and contact time make the differences in use clear. They are also conditions that product evaluations need to record. Contact time alone cannot be converted into a measure of absorption or effect.
Keep evaluation data attached to the finished product
To understand the evaluations of these two products, consider their shared raw-material basis alongside their different formats and ways of use.
AgeCare ExoMask Pro has completed an SGS human-use evaluation of the finished product. AgeCare ExoSerum Pro uses the same EV-related raw material as the mask. Their formats, frequencies and amounts of use differ, so we do not apply the mask's test results directly to the serum.
The mask's human-use evaluation has given us a more concrete understanding of that product's performance in a skincare routine. The two products' shared raw-material basis and related approach to care design also give us confidence in the serum's value when used on its own.
